“TEE TIME” AT SILVERADO RESORT & SPA https://batchnutrition.com/tee-time-at-silverado-resort-spa/ https://batchnutrition.com/tee-time-at-silverado-resort-spa/#respond Sun, 05 Mar 2023 02:14:12 +0000 https://batchnutrition.com/?p=220 Silverado Resort & Spa has been a favorite in Napa for many years. It is well-known for its proximity and quality wine but also for its amazing “tee.” This resort is a great place to play golf in Napa Valley. Wine and “tee,” are perfectly paired here. Golfers can enjoy the best of both: PGA championship golf in close proximity of some of the finest wineries around the world.

Silverado Resort has two championship golf courses, comfortable accommodations and delicious onsite food.

The Courses

Silverado Resort offers two distinctive 18-hole, quality championship golf courses. Johnny Miller, a PGA Hall-of-Fame, redesigned the 7,166-yard North Course as well as the 6,612-yard South Course in 2010. These two courses, which are both meticulously maintained, host or have hosted PGA championships and tours. The North Course hosts the PGA Tour Safeway Championship every September, while the South Course has hosted the PGA Champions Transamerica Tournament since 1989. Silverado will also host the Fortinet Championship PGA TOUR tournament in September 2022.

Silverado Resort’s Head Golf Professional Dave Zorn proudly explains that the resort works hard to make sure that their courses are available for tournament play year-round. This means that no matter what season it is, you can be confident that your course conditions will be perfect. Five different tee boxes are available to players, so that all levels of golfers can have fun. A full-length driving range is available, as well as a practice chipping and putting greens, and a private area. Push carts can also be rented for those who want to take their game to the next level.

Both courses have been redesigned in 2010. Expert maintenance, careful grooming, and thoughtful consideration continue to be a benefit. Rye and Kentucky grasses were allowed to thrive by minimizing Kikuya grass. Bunkers that have been reshaped and revamped now benefit from the addition of brilliantly white sand. The game is challenging due to elevation changes and crossings of water. Oak-lined fairways and rolling hills surround the course add to its natural beauty.

Our Favorite Hole

Every hole is memorable and well-designed, but Hole 9 on the south course’s signature hole is the best and most enjoyable to play. This Par 5, 462-yard hole is played from an elevated tee that’s well above the landing area.

Dave Zorn, Head Golf Professional, agrees that Hole #9 has become a favourite among Silverado golfers. He said, “A good tee shot on the fairway allows the player to either lay up or try to reach the guarded green by two.” Zorn warns that the hole is not only fun but also presents some interesting challenges. Be aware of the water to the left and the bunker directly with the green running towards the water. Two great shots will leave the player with a chipped putt for a birdie or an eagle.

Zorn said that players will receive a tasty reward after they complete hole 9. Zorn says that players will be rewarded with a delicious reward after they complete hole 9.

The Most Execrable Holes

Silverado’s north and south courses are both fun and accessible for all skill levels. However, there are two holes that can be very difficult to play even by the most experienced players. Zorn says the short par-4 8th hole on the north course is the most difficult. The par-4 6th hole on the south course is Zorn’s favorite. Zorn said that the hole 8th has the potential to roll all the way down the hill, making it a difficult up-hill wedge shot of 30-40 yards. You can expect a difficult putt if you hit the green well. Par is a great score for this hole.

Zorn described the challenges faced by the 6th hole on the south course. He said that the second shot downhill to the elevated green is what makes it challenging. The hillside will be crowded with divots and other victims. All shots must run down the hill. A par on this hole is like a birdie.

Delectable Dining

The Silverado Market & Bakery offers pastries, coffee, and wood-fired pizzas from Forno. Golfers also have The Grill, which offers a refined dining experience.

The Grill serves seasonal, farm-to-table food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It offers a casual yet elegant dining experience, with indoor and outdoor seating and a wide selection of California-inspired dishes. For breakfast, you can choose from egg Benedict, avocado toast, or smoked salmon potato waffle. Lunch menu options include a Rueben Sandwich, crab louie, shrimp tacos and Rueben Sandwich. Dinner selections include seasonal risotto and duck confit. The restaurant has a great wine list and craft cocktails. The Grill offers a Happy Hour menu and children’s menus as well as a weekend brunch.

Junior and Family Golf

Silverado Resort is proud to be a family-friendly golf community. They host several camps throughout each year for junior players as well as after-school programs. Troon Family Golf Program offers juniors the opportunity to play golf for free with a paying adult after 3:00 pm.

You can also find spring and summer tennis, golf, and swim camps. These camps emphasize the enjoyment of the sport as well as the development of skills and discipline necessary to excel at other activities.

There are year-round classes for children, with low monthly fees. Classes can be grouped into three age groups: 5-8, 8-11, or 8-13. Silverado Resort’s Johnny Miller Junior Golf Academy is an excellent resource for beginners and more experienced young players looking to improve their skills. Junior players can also take private lessons for one hour or 30 minutes.

Lessons and memberships

Silverado Resort offers private and group lessons at reasonable rates. You can choose from private lessons lasting 30 minutes to two hours starting at $75 or adult group clinics that last only 45 minutes. A country club membership is a great option for locals. It offers lots of fun activities for the whole family.

Family memberships give you access to two 18-hole courses, 10 Plexipave tennis court, three bocce balls courts, the main pool complex, Whirlpool and snack bar, preferential pricing for Spa memberships and day use, and access to many dining options.

Silverado Resort & Spa is the perfect place to go if you are a local looking for the best golf courses to learn or play, or a guest from out of town looking for memorable golf. It’s just a short drive away from the Bay Area.

TOP TEN REASONS YOU SHOULD VISIT RUSH CREEK LODG THIS FALL https://batchnutrition.com/top-ten-reasons-you-should-visit-rush-creek-lodg-this-fall/ https://batchnutrition.com/top-ten-reasons-you-should-visit-rush-creek-lodg-this-fall/#respond Wed, 01 Mar 2023 12:25:11 +0000 https://batchnutrition.com/?p=181 Rush Creek Lodge, located just thirty minutes from Yosemite Valley is a modern, family-friendly lodge that features a restaurant and spa. It also has amazing outdoor and indoor play areas for kids. This is the ideal fall getaway. As Yosemite gets fewer visitors, the leaves change and the lodge’s s’mores firepits become cozier.

Rush Creek Lodge has some great rates for fall. Time to get your Uggs and flannels! This is why we keep coming back year after year to this spot, it’s our favorite place in the Yosemite region. Here are ten reasons Rush Creek is worth a visit.

  1. Hot Tub – The heated pool and hot tub are ideal for cool fall days and provide a relaxing way to relax after a long day of hiking Yosemite.
  • Outdoor Playground – The lodge’s outdoor playground is a favorite feature. It can be found on a 20-acre wooded property. The 60-foot-high hillside slide and two zip-lines, one for large kids and one for small kids, are a hit with kids. There’s also plenty of equipment for kids to climb on, crawl under, or explore. You can also find ping-pong tables and bocce ball courts, as well as corn hole!
  • Indoor Gaming Area — This indoor area is as impressive as the outdoor one and is the ideal place to hang out in the rain or cold. Foosball and air hockey are just a few of the many games you will find inside. There is also a pool and classic arcade games. You can also play a variety of board and toy games. The treehouse climbing structure, which was custom designed by the owner, is just as fun as it is cool.
  • Every Night is S’Mores Night! There’s nothing like curling up by the firepit and roasting marshmallows on a crisp, starry night in autumn. Rush Creek Lodge hosts nightly S’Mores events around their fire-pits. They provide all the necessary ingredients for this classic camping treat.
  • Guided Tours – Yosemite can be overwhelming for first-time visitors. Rush Creek has an amazing Guided Recreation Program. This program matches guests with knowledgeable guides and takes the guesswork out your vacation. Guided tours of Rush Creek are available for both partial and full-day durations, and are suitable for all levels of fitness and ability.
  • Activities Galore Those two words, “I’m bored” — are never spoken during a Rush Creek Lodge stay. Every day, there are planned activities, children’s crafts, and nature presentations. The lodge offers a variety of activities for children, including geodes and crystals, weaving reed baskets, dissecting owl pellets and family painting lessons.
  • The Rush Creek Spa is worth the drive. This beautiful facility is surrounded by tranquil forested land and offers a relaxing massage, facial, or steam & sauna treatment.
  • Convenient general store Guests love the lodge’s well-stocked general shop, where they can grab a quick latte or grab’n’go breakfast burrito in a matter of minutes. You can also find groceries, wine, as well as adorable souvenirs.
  • Gourmet Dining – Just because you are in the middle of a forest, doesn’t mean that you have to be rough. Guests can choose from a delicious challah french bread for breakfast, a delicious tuna poke bowl for lunch or a perfectly cooked Cheeseburger on an English muffin for dinner. Children’s menu options include burgers and macaroni & Cheese, chicken tenders, chicken tenders, and pizza. You can also choose from a variety of vegetables, fruits, or french fries. You can also order a seasonal craft cocktail at the bar along with your appetizer.
  1. Spacious Accommodations — Named for the area’s historical ties to the Gold Rush Gold Rush, R Rush Creek Lodge has 143 rooms, suites, and hillside villas that can be used by small to large families. These stylish rooms, suites, and villas are rustic and modern in design. They have comfortable beds, sofa beds and private patios. The majority of rooms are spacious enough for children and adults to share — something that every adult will love. The stunning views and surroundings won’t be missed, so there are no TVs in these rooms.

FALL IN LOVE WITH FAIRMONT GRAND EL MAR https://batchnutrition.com/fall-in-love-with-fairmont-grand-el-mar/ https://batchnutrition.com/fall-in-love-with-fairmont-grand-el-mar/#respond Fri, 10 Feb 2023 12:49:40 +0000 https://batchnutrition.com/?p=197 The Fairmont Grand Del Mar, located on the 400-acre Los Penansquitos Canyon Reserve and only five miles from the coast, is a luxurious and idyllic fall escape. Tourists and locals flock to this resort in the summer to enjoy the luxury of the resort. However, fall is a great time to visit as the rooms rates drop and the weather is clear and warm.

This sophisticated resort is sprawling and beautiful. We loved it. We wanted more days lounging by the sparkling pools, more mornings wandering the pristine grounds, more mouth-watering meals at the Michelin-starred restaurant, and more time exploring the old-world, Mediterranean-inspired grounds.

The Fairmont Grand Del Mar is the perfect choice for couples, families, or wellness trips.

The Fairmont Grand Del Mar grounds are a haven of luxury and tranquility, with lush lawns, tropical palms and lush greenery. We have come to expect flawless, seamless service from Fairmont.

The ultimate in luxury comfort is the accommodation. It features spacious rooms and bathrooms, nightly turn down service, marble bathroom finishes and expansive balconies with stunning canyon and garden views. There are 249 guest rooms, including suites, that have been tastefully decorated with warm, rich colors and fabrics. There are many room sizes to suit everyone’s needs, so you can find the right size for you.

Del Mar, Hotel, Fairmont, Lifestyle

You can always order room service from your suite or guestroom. But there are five other great dining options on the property. Addison offers an exceptional dining experience with an innovative menu that highlights Southern California’s regional ingredients. Chef William Bradley creates an exceptional dining experience by creating a nine-course tasting menu. The restaurant also offers champagne and wine pairings from its 12,000-bottle wine cellar.

Other dining options include Amaya, a California-bistro-style eatery serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Clubhouse Grill overlooks the fairways and offers fish tacos and salads as well as cold beers and craft cocktails. Children under five years old eat free at The Clubhouse Grill. Children six to 12 years old receive a 50% discount on all menu items. Del Mar Social Club offers wood-fired pizzas and craft cocktails, as well as casual dining on the large front lawn. Live music, lawn games, and private fire pits make this a lively, social environment.

The Fairmont Grand Del Mar has everything you need for relaxation and recreation. We loved that there were four gorgeous, temperature-controlled pools to choose from, and an adults’ relaxation pool to enjoy where the joyful screams and splashes of children become a distant memory. The children’s pool has a shallow wading zone and white sand seating areas. You can enjoy drinks and light bites at the poolside, or rent a cabana by the hour.

Horseback riding is another fun activity. The rides are accessible to all levels of experience and all ages. The resort also offers electric and BMW bikes for guests to use, so they can enjoy the paved trails at their own pace. There are 37 miles of hiking trails starting on the property.

Del Mar, Hotel, Fairmont, Lifestyle

Del Mar, Hotel, Fairmont, Lifestyle

The resort’s private, award-winning golf course, “The Grand Golf Club”, was designed by Tom Fazio. The course is challenging but not difficult and features beautifully manicured fairways, stunning elevations, cool Pacific breezes, and challenging holes. Pickle ball courts are available on-site, as well as a fully equipped fitness center.

The amazing onsite spa awaits you when it is time to unwind and re-center. The Center For Wellbeing ranks among the top 60 Forbes Five-Star Spas. A spa treatment at Grand Del Mar is a memorable experience. It offers a wide range of treatments and organic products, as well as serene, beautiful surroundings.

The resort’s ” Explorer’s Club” is available for children and adults who are traveling with them. You can drop off your children here in a secure area that is staffed with licensed and trained professionals. The Explorer’s Club is a place where children can explore, create, play, and socialize. It may be the highlight on your child’s vacation.

It’s difficult to pinpoint the highlight of our trip. It’s hard to pinpoint the highlight of a Fairmont Grand Del Mar vacation, which includes horseback riding adventures, sunset dinners overlooking beautiful scenery, and lazy afternoons relaxing poolside with an aperol spritz in your hand. You can only find out by coming to stay and deciding for yourself. You will fall in love with this unique resort.

STAY & PARTY: CENTRAL OEGON https://batchnutrition.com/stay-party-central-oegon/ https://batchnutrition.com/stay-party-central-oegon/#respond Wed, 18 Jan 2023 02:30:56 +0000 https://batchnutrition.com/?p=236

For the ultimate (kid-friendly) golf retreat, head north! golf retreat

Imagine if your family could play more golf without needing to take them to adult-oriented places. What about a place with both world-class golf and kid-friendly activities? It would be a win-win situation. North is the best place to find the best of both family and golf.

California is home to many beautiful, well-known courses. However, some of these resorts can be a bit stuffy and pretentious, which can make them unsuitable for children.

Central Oregon has a relaxed, more accessible golf scene. Everyone feels at home, even the littlest of visitors. Nothing is more refreshing than a round of golf in central Oregon, surrounded by high Aspens and majestic Cascade Peaks.

These two Central Oregon resorts offer a paradise for families with beautiful, lush surroundings, low green fees and an incredible array of outdoor activities.

Black Butte Ranch

The 1,800-acre Black Butte Ranch celebrated 50 years of helping families create memorable memories for decades. Golf enthusiasts love returning to the ranch again and again with their loved ones. The stunning resort offers a wide range of recreational and entertainment options, including two award-winning courses, a full-service spa and a delicious on-site restaurant. It also has luxurious lodging accommodations.

You can also access the serene lake by bicycle from the property. There are miles of paved paths that wind through beautiful meadows and lush forests. Hurray! While grownups can play golf or visit the spa, Day camp is open to children aged 4-12 years old and offers play, crafts, and swimming.

The “Little Meadow Putting Course” is a short course that offers 12 holes with a range of 45 to 105 feet. This will be a great place for budding golfers. Black Butte Ranch offers lessons both private and in groups for anyone who wants to improve their game.

Pronghorn Resort

Pronghorn Resort is a luxurious resort located in the heart of Bend. It offers peace and tranquility as well as plenty of entertainment options. This golf getaway is a great choice because of its stunning mountain views and stellar service.

The heated pools, waterslide and bike rentals are a hit with kids. Adults will enjoy the tranquil spa, varied onsite food and drinks, live music and the fitness center.

Pronghorn Resort has two internationally acclaimed courses that are suitable for all levels of players. The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, and the Tom Fazio Champion Course have stunning views and breathtaking views of the meticulously maintained, emerald green fairways. Players can get lessons from the best at the Pronghorn Golf Academy in both individual or group lessons.

HOTEL SPOTLIGHT: CORDEVALLE https://batchnutrition.com/hotel-spotlight-cordevalle/ https://batchnutrition.com/hotel-spotlight-cordevalle/#respond Mon, 16 Jan 2023 02:22:59 +0000 https://batchnutrition.com/?p=227 A hidden jewel of luxury and exclusivity lies just 20 minutes from the chaos and crowds of San Jose. It is a place where ordinary people can transform into royalty for a weekend. CordeValle, a 5-star luxury golf resort located in San Martin, California, is just outside of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The sanctuary, which covers 1,700 acres, offers serenity and luxury, as well as world-class hospitality, just an hour from the Bay Area.

Seamless Service

It’s clear from the moment you enter CordeValle that you are entering a special place. The type of place where the security guard greets you at the door and your server remembers your child’s preferences for extra cherries in the Shirley Temple. The CordeValle staff are warm, professional, and friendly. They offer gracious hospitality and seamless service.

Family Friendly

CordeValle offers a warm welcome to families with children. They are treated to a fun scavenger hunt through the property’s wildlife. The front desk will reward children who find all the animals they have on their list with a craft prize. Children’s amenities such as cribs, diaper pails, baby monitors, and in-room-baby-proofing services are available on request.

Children get royal treatment at mealtime, too. There are kid-friendly options like pancakes, chicken tenders, and pasta for breakfast. Families can enjoy s’mores at the property’s wood-burning fireplace. The kit includes everything you need to make delicious s’mores.

Although there are no huge waterslides or bounce houses, CordeValle offers plenty of fun activities for kids. There is a heated saltwater pool, tennis, golf lessons, archery and family bocce. Before heading to the pool, kids can borrow sunscreen and pool toys from the spa. Parents are also welcome to join them on CordeValle’s world-class course. Teens and older children may enjoy the 3.5-mile private hiking trail around the property’s back, which is filled with wildflowers. However, they may prefer to get off their feet. In fact, CordeValle’s CordeValle, our daughters (4 and 8 years old) loved the golf cart rides. They are always available to transport guests to their rooms or anywhere else on the property. Every time the golf cart zoomed up the hill to our suite, they squealed with delight.

A-Plus Accommodations

Our “Villa Suite”, outdoor hot tub, was another highlight of the weekend. It overlooks beautiful scenery, including lush green fairways, rolling hills, majestic native trees, and sometimes, deer roaming freely. The rooms, bungalows, and suites in Cordevalle range from 550 to 1100 square feet. This remodeling is evident.

This 5-star resort’s accommodations feel minimalist yet luxurious thanks to the large outdoor spaces, wall-to-ceiling glass doors, modern furnishings and spacious bathrooms. The modern, elegant feel is enhanced by the use of high-tech features like touch-powered mirrors in bathrooms and rich wood finishes. The spacious bathrooms feature a separate steam shower, deep soaking tub and luxurious toiletries. You will find slippers and robes in the walk-in closet. You will also find other useful and thoughtful items throughout the room like a Nespresso coffee maker, glassware, and a mini refrigerator. Also, you can use high-powered binoculars to spy on shy deer and soaring Eagles.

Delicious Dining

The resort’s two outstanding restaurants One Iron Bar, and Lion’s Peak Grill have outdoor patios that allow you to spot wildlife. Lion’s Peak Grill, the casualer of the two restaurants is open for breakfast or lunch. It is popular among resort’s golfers who enjoy a frosty cold beer and juicy burgers, as well as wood-fired pizzas, while enjoying shaded outdoor tables.

The pizza is a hit with families, as both adults and children agree that it’s the best in the region. It’s likely that the dough’s Caputo flour, which is imported from Italy, is used in the recipe. The sauce is made with the property’s home-grown San Marzano tomatoes as well as fresh basil. In a wood-fired outdoor pizza oven at 800 900 degrees, the pizza is ready in 90 seconds. It produces a delicious, light, and chewy pizza that is well worth the effort.

One Iron Bar serves equally memorable food like house-made pasta, seasonal salads, and tender, juicy, dry-aged steaks. California-inspired, the menu changes with the seasons, featuring the best of each month’s offerings, such as buttery fava beans and sweet spring peas. The drink menu includes craft cocktails as well as a wine selection featuring Napa wineries. There are many delicious options on the breakfast menu, including made-to-order omelets, house-made sausages, Shashuka with eggs, gourmet Avocado Toast, and fluffy pancakes with Chantilly Cream. One Iron Bar’s food is delicious, and the service is impeccable.

Glorious golf

Apart from the great food at CordeValle’s restaurant, golfing may be the most popular attraction to the resort. This prestigious course is highly coveted and a worthy investment for golf lovers. CordeValle is a championship 18-hole course that measures 72 yards. It has hosted many USGA and PGA Tour events. The 7,360-yard challenging course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and offers golfers access to a 35,000-square foot clubhouse, driving range, chipping area, pro shop and a pro shop. There is also access to a pro shop, putting green, driving practice area, driving range, pro shop, push carts, instruction and golf carts. This semi-private resort course offers unforgettable golfing experiences and bragging rights.

Offsite Offerings

CordeValle is a beautiful resort with many wineries, shops, and a fun theme park.

Gilroy Gardens is the latter, and is just a short drive from San Martin, Gilroy, California. This amusement park is ideal for families with children younger than 13 years old. It offers rides, shows, and even a waterpark.

Clos LaChance Winery can be found right next to CordeValle. You can walk or take a ride with CordeValle’s friendly valet. The family-owned winery offers a great way to spend an hour tasting wine, taking in the beautiful views, and then enjoying a delicious lunch at the Close Bistro, which is on the lawn. You can also play bocce ball.

Another way to enjoy a few hours is to shop at Gilroy Premium Outlets, which are located just a short drive from the resort. The charming city of Morgan Hill is also nearby. It offers a few great restaurants including kid-friendly fine-dining at Ladera Grill, authentic Italian cuisine at Maurizio’s, and creative whole-food and plant-based dishes from Craft Roots.

CordeValle is truly a luxury destination we cannot wait to return to again.

Travel alone has many benefits

Why would you want to be in one place? There are many advantages to traveling alone. These are just a few of the many benefits of traveling solo.

Self-discovery is possible

Solo travel allows you to discover yourself and your true self. That’s an incredible thing to do. It’s possible to slow down everything and just be yourself. Spending time with yourself alone will help you to see the choices you make. You are not judged or given an opinion by anyone. You have the power to choose where you go, what you do, and who you talk with. You’ll feel more comfortable trying new things and will be more open to learning what makes you happy.

More space is available for spontaneous activities

If you are traveling with someone else, or in a group of people, it is important to plan at least a portion of your trip. This will ensure that everyone has a great time. You don’t need to plan everything if you travel solo. It doesn’t mean you have to visit the museum that you purchased tickets for three months before. You can instead make a decision on your own that will change the direction of your trip.

Move out of your comfort zone

It’s inevitable that things will go wrong, regardless of whether you travel solo or with a group. That’s part the fun! If you’re alone, you feel the pressure to solve any problem. If you are lost, it will give you directions and help you find a place where you can sleep if your flight is delayed. Solo travel will challenge your problem-solving skills. You might end up doing only one thing, or many! That is what scares me every day.

Increase your self-confidence

It is possible to go out on your own and not have a safety net. You can make a difference in your self-confidence by being alone and finding your way through unfamiliar terrain.

Find like-minded people

You don’t have to travel alone if it’s not something you want. Solo travel can actually make you more social. Solo travel makes you more open to strangers, and you’ll make new friends wherever you go.

Get away from work and your life

Solo vacations allow you to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and daily life. It’s possible to take time out to think about your goals, your life priorities, and your personal habits. You can also listen to podcasts and do research about your destination. You can even create a wishlist for your next trip!

You can be completely selfish, and that’s OK

Traveling alone can be very rewarding because you can do what you want, when you want. The destination is yours to choose, the dates are set, the itinerary is created, and the budget established. Spend hours in a museum and then take a break in the park before you go to a restaurant. You can also go hiking in the rain, and stay the night in a campsite without cell phone reception. You decide the tone and set the rules. It’s your vacation.

Opportunities to work on your creativity

Discovering new places is a great way to find inspiration. Solo travel is a great way to reconnect with your creative side.

These are some ways to unleash your creativity.

  • Improve your photography skills. Take a DSLR camera with you and capture amazing photos.
  • Write. He takes out his journal and begins to write stories and poems. Combine it all to create a travel bulletin journal.
  • Make music. Play for strangers with your guitar

You decide the budget

You decide how much and how often you spend your money. Although this topic may not be very inspiring, money can make or break your trip. It is important to understand everyone’s expectations and budget when traveling with others. Traveling with someone with different purchasing power will cause problems. Travel companions with larger pockets will make it more difficult to enjoy the trip and not worry about their rising credit card bills. If you have more money than your travel companions, you might be able to share experiences with them.
